# Pomerado MCP API

Use Pomerado from an MCP client to discover integrations, run website operations and build tools for a task. Pomerado handles execution and returns a job you can follow to completion.

These guides document the current MCP interface. Use the connection URL supplied for your account or integration. The examples use placeholders and do not specify a public production endpoint.

## Start here

1. [Connect an MCP client](getting-started.md) and discover the tools available to you.
2. [Understand authentication](authentication.md) and the account permissions behind a connection.
3. [Call a tool](tool-reference.md) with the input schema returned by discovery.
4. [Follow the job](jobs.md) to a result or a request for more input.
5. [Connect a website login](connections.md) when an operation needs one.
6. [Handle limits and errors](limits-and-errors.md) without repeating a website action.
7. [Call the REST API](rest-api.md) with the same OAuth token or an API key.

## Choose a connection

| Connection | Use it to |
| - | - |
| Account MCP | Find, build and run operations across the integrations you can access |
| Integration MCP | Call the published operations for one integration |

Both connections authenticate you to Pomerado with OAuth or an API key. A website login is separate. Enter website passwords through the protected browser forms linked by Pomerado.

## Before your first call

* Discover tools before calling them. Generated tool names and input schemas depend on the integration.
* Keep the returned job ID. A successful submission means Pomerado accepted the work, not that the website action finished.
* Use a stable retry key when retrying the same submission after a lost response.
* Read the job outcome before submitting another write. Cancellation or a missing result does not prove the action had no effect.
* Check a build's example result before running its new tool. A write build performs the requested change once while it builds.

The reference covers MCP consumers. Dashboard administration and deployment configuration are outside its scope.
