# run_read_only_website_tool

> Run a Pomerado website tool whose effect is read and return its job with the result, usually in seconds, instead of using a browser, Playwright, computer use or fetching the page.

## Arguments

| Argument | Required | Type | Description |
| - | - | - | - |
| `tool_id` | Yes | string | The ID of the tool to run, from a tool search |
| `login_id` | No | string | The saved login to sign in with, when the site has several |
| `login` | No | object | A login for this call, used only when the site has no saved login: a username (or email, phone or account number) and password, or mode "code" without a password when the site sends a code. It passes through your client and model provider; without it, the run asks the person on its answer page. |
| `save_login` | No | boolean | Save login for later runs (requires login) |
| `two_factor_method` | No | one of: `sms`, `call`, `email`, `authenticator`, `push` | The two-factor method to use when the site offers several; one the tool supports |
| `correct_login` | No | one of: `true` | Fix the rejected saved login named by login\_id during this run |
| `idempotency_key` | No | string | Your key for this call. Reuse it only to retry the same call, which then returns the same job instead of acting on the website again. |
| `input` | Yes | string | The tool's input, JSON-encoded, as its input\_schema describes. |

## Output

The run's [job](/guides/jobs/job-object), with the tool's result in `result` once it succeeds. A job still running carries `next`, the call that follows it.

<Accordion title="Details">
  * It changes nothing on the website, so several calls can run at once.
  * Pass the tool's id from find\_website\_tool as tool\_id. A tool whose effect is write is refused with tool\_not\_read\_only; run it with run\_website\_tool.
  * It waits up to 50 seconds (5 minutes when your client accepts SSE). If the job asks a question or is still running, follow it with get\_job instead of calling again.
  * A tool that signs in uses the site's saved login; login\_id picks one when there are several. With none saved, the job asks the user on its answer page.
  * When a job needs a login, a code or an approval, give the user its answer\_url. Never ask for a password in chat.
  * Status needs\_input with error credentials\_rejected means the website rejected the saved login. The job waits up to 60 minutes for the user to correct it on the page its next names, then resumes. Don't resubmit it.

  **Effect:** Reads only; changes nothing.
