# sign_in

> Sign this agent in to Pomerado without a browser on this machine.

## Arguments

| Argument | Required | Type | Description |

| `expires_in_days` | No | number | When starting: how many days the API key lasts, 1 to 90 (default 30). |
| `device_code` | No | string | The device\_code from the call that started the sign-in. Omit it to start one. |

## Output

Started, the code the person enters and where: `user_code`, `verification_url`, `interval`, `expires_at` and `device_code`. Polled with `device_code`, its `status`, and once approved the new API key with its `secret`, shown once.

  * Call it without device\_code to get verification\_url and user\_code. Give both to the person, who opens the link on any device, signs in and approves.
  * Then call it again with device\_code every interval seconds. It returns status pending until they approve, then the API key, once.
  * Send the key as the Authorization: Bearer header of this MCP's signed-in URL (for a keyless connection, its URL without /keyless). It works on every Pomerado MCP and the REST API.
  * Never ask the person for a password.
