Search for a tool before you build one. A tool does one task on one website, such as searching Google Flights or adding items to an Instacart cart, and runs in seconds.

Search by task or site

Pass a query, a site_url, or both. A site URL can be a bare domain or a pasted address.
Over REST, send the same fields to GET /v1/tools. Both answer one page in data; pass next_cursor back as cursor for the next page. With both a query and a site, the first page also lists possible_matches: up to 50 of the site’s other tools that may cover the task though the words didn’t match. Check them before you build another.

Read a tool

To read one tool later, pass its id alone to find_website_tool, or call GET /v1/tools/{id}.

When nothing fits

Build a tool. It takes about 10 minutes, and the tool is reused after that.
  • You see public tools and your team’s private ones. A disabled tool never appears.
  • integration_id limits the search to one integration’s tools.
  • Without credentials, the search lists only public read-only tools that need no login, with a notice on how to see the rest. See Try without a key.
