Details
- Pass the tool’s id from find_website_tool as tool_id.
- It runs any tool. For a tool whose effect is read, use run_read_only_website_tool instead; several of those can run at once.
- Send an idempotency_key with every write, and reuse it only to retry the same call. A call without one is a new website action.
- It waits up to 50 seconds (5 minutes when your client accepts SSE). If the job asks a question or is still running, follow it with get_job instead of calling again.
- A tool that signs in uses the site’s saved login; login_id picks one when there are several. With none saved, the job asks the user on its answer page.
- When a job needs a login, a code or an approval, give the user its answer_url. Never ask for a password in chat.
- Status needs_input with error credentials_rejected means the website rejected the saved login. The job waits up to 60 minutes for the user to correct it on the page its next names, then resumes. Don’t resubmit it.
